I am currently recruiting for an exciting company based in Bromsgrove. They are looking for an experienced HR and Payroll Officer to their expanding team. This is a rare opportunity to join a very successful and exciting company. The main purpose of this role would be to support the company on a wide range of HR duties and to run payroll for employees.

Day to day duties will include the following:

  • HR Duties
  • Liaise with the MD on personnel matters
  • Provide guidance on HR policy and employee relations
  • Updating the training manual
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts of employment, termination letters, amendment letters, salary reviews, communication, other letters in relation to pension, auto-enrolment and benefits
  • Working closely and advising managers on their staff needs
  • Recruiting staff
  • Interpreting and advising employees on employment law, statutory rights etc
  • Preparation of management reports, Starters/leavers, average wages, absence, commissions and holidays


Payroll Duties

  • Administering perm payroll and maintaining computerised and manual employee record
  • Checking employee's hours/days, mileage and expenses
  • Ensuring monthly payroll makes the payment on time
  • Working out tax and NI deductions
  • Calculating overtime, commissions, redundancy and sick pay
  • Issuing payslips P45, P60 etc
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller


As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

  • Previous HR and Payroll experience
  • Good attention to detail as accuracy is key
  • Ideally have used Pegasus previously
  • CIPD would be desirable
