Job Description

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work along side a team of 4, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and have a strong accounting background to including payroll and HR. This is a busy role working for a large logistics organisation.

Duties on a day to day basis will include the following:
•General Accounts Administration, including:
-Checking debrief sheets
-Updating inhouse bespoke system
-Checking drivers running sheets
-Filing/Scanning on PODs to inhouse system
-Dealing with any accounts queries that may arise
-Sales invoices
-Purchase invoices
-Statement reconciliation
•Payment runs
•Payroll for 250 drivers
•Purchase ledger
•Customer query resolution
•Credit control
•Ad hoc finance administration tasks
•General office tasks (answering telephones, greeting visitors, etc)

As a person you will need the following experience & Qualities:

•Strong accounting abilities including Payroll and HR - Required
•Good communication skills (verbal and written)
•Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) competently
•Strong attention to detail
•Well organised
•Knowledge of the Transport and Logistics Industry would be beneficial but not essential
•Good telephone manner
